After an open beta period which ran between October 15 and October 18, 2021, the game was released through Steam on November 30, 2021. Each survivor can only be rescued in this way twice the survivor will die instantly if the survivor is placed on the chair a third time. To catch a Survivor, the killer must knock them down, then place them on a chair, where they will die if not rescued by another Survivor. The Killer's objective is either to kill all 4 survivors, or prevent their escape. To do so, the Survivors must repair 5 of the 7 machines placed across the map, which in turn opens the map's exit. The Survivors' objective is for at least one Survivor to escape the map. Four players play as Survivors, with the fifth player playing as the Killer. Propnight is a 4v1 asymmetrical horror game. I would not want to take away from the players the pleasure of building theories and guessing about everything for themselves." Gameplay The game's plot is left deliberately mysterious, with the only detail given outside of the game being that "In a small provincial town, teenagers continue to disappear mysteriously." In an interview, Anna Vasilieva, the communication director of Fntastic, explained that Propnight "has its own mysterious lore, and we happily thought of a lot of little things that can be noticed while playing the game. There are presently no plans to release the games on consoles. The game has been officially released on PC on November 30, 2021. Propnight held a PC open beta on Steam between October 15 and October 18. It is a one-versus-four game, similar in nature to Dead by Daylight, in which one player takes on the role of a killer and the other four play as survivors with the ability to turn into objects. It was released on Steam in November 2021. Sorry for the long rant, I would just like to this game grow and flourish as I believe its got the potential to rival DBD with some care and attention.Propnight is a survival horror online multiplayer game with Prop Hunt-style mechanics developed by Fntastic and published by Mytona. I just hope the devs maybe consider launching the game on console sooner rather than later as that's a huge spike in player count that's being missed out on. Overall I'm really impressed with the game and will continue to keep playing. One thing that I'm really impressed with is that as a survivor main at heart, playing against all the killers is extremely fun imo, there's not one killer I see load into the game and my eyes immediately roll to the back of my head, unlike in DBD where 3 killers are fun to play against, the rest is just tedious and incredibly frustrating. In my opinion this games balance is far better than DBD as it stands right now as they don't have a ridiculous amount of perks to balance and killers aren't based around their unique power, it just needs a few tweaks to make it brilliant. The game does have some issues regarding balance but then again so does the titan of the genre that being DBD (believe me I know, I've suffered 3k hours of DBD to know what balance feels like). I feel like this game would benefit massively if it was released on console with crossplay, maybe even make it F2P and with that, add in some paid cosmetics to fund the games development. My main concern is what happens after the free weekend. Since Friday I've been playing almost none stop, I'm having a brilliant time with the game playing both survivor and killer. ![]()
